Online Counsellor in Central London
Hello and welcome to my page!
I am Lexie Wu.
A BACP registered Humanistic Integrative Counsellor.
Hello, I’m Lexie, a Humanistic Integrative counsellor based in Central London, offering online counselling for adults aged 18 and above.
You may be considering therapy because you feel overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected from yourself, or find yourself repeating patterns that are difficult to understand. Perhaps you are experiencing anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, or navigating a period of change and uncertainty.
I work collaboratively with clients to explore their experiences with curiosity and compassion. Together, we can develop a deeper understanding of your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and the patterns that may have developed throughout your life. My aim is not to provide quick solutions, but to offer a space where you can reflect, explore, and gain greater awareness of yourself.
My approach is warm, reflective, and relational. I believe that the therapeutic relationship itself can be an important part of the process, providing an opportunity to experience being understood and accepted while exploring different aspects of yourself. Alongside empathy and support, I may offer reflections and gentle challenges where helpful, allowing us to look at experiences from new perspectives.
I am particularly interested in the ways our early experiences, relationships, and wider social and cultural environments shape how we see ourselves and connect with others. Having grown up in Taiwan and later moved to London, my own experience of living between different cultures has shaped my curiosity about identity, belonging, and the different ways people make sense of their place in the world.
Before becoming a counsellor, I worked in the news and fashion industries, where I had the opportunity to engage with people from diverse backgrounds and hear many different stories and perspectives. These experiences continue to influence my appreciation of each person’s individuality and the complexity of human experiences.
As a Humanistic Integrative counsellor, my work is informed by different therapeutic perspectives, allowing me to adapt the way we work together according to your individual needs and experiences.

My Approach
My approach is warm, reflective, and collaborative. I aim to create a space where you can feel heard and understood, while having the opportunity to explore your experiences and consider different perspectives. Alongside empathy and understanding, I may offer reflections, observations, and gentle challenges when they feel helpful within the therapeutic work.
At the heart of my approach is a belief in the importance of the therapeutic relationship. I believe that what happens within the therapy room can often reflect aspects of our experiences outside of it — including the ways we connect, communicate, respond, and relate to others. Paying attention to what emerges between us, including feelings and experiences within the therapeutic relationship, can become an important part of understanding ourselves and our relational patterns.
My previous experiences working with people from diverse backgrounds have shaped the way I approach my work as a counsellor. Through my professional background and clinical placements, I have developed a deeper appreciation of the different experiences, challenges, and contexts that shape each person’s life.
I believe that being a thoughtful therapist requires ongoing learning, self-reflection, and openness. Through regular clinical supervision, continued professional development, and reflective practice, I continue to develop my awareness and presence in the therapeutic relationship, ensuring that I can meet each client with care, curiosity, and responsiveness.
